The image came about when I played with the lettering to spell "peace". After that it sort of created itself. I thought it was a rather whimsical idea, and it turned out to be more of a challenge than I expected!

At this point the dove image was still in yellows & black. I thought of making a sunset image, but I really thought the doves should be white (more to symbolize peace) so I inverted the image & played with the levels.

The result of inverting. Now it's a daylight image.

Lastly the sky was added and any sharp edges softened.
