used Alien Skin plug in to get the diamond plate use for a texture. (Shown masked)

desaturated a copy of the tortoise and used to make a displacement mask for another layer of the diamond plate and the used dodge and burn to get a layer like this which was set to overlay blending mode

Gun was masked out and duplicated , scaled, and warped to fit each of the locations a layer was made with a drop shadow and masked for use on the lower edges of the guns

Part of the tortoise background was extended up a blended in to allow the mounting of the top turret. Also some Gaussian blur and some edge blur was used to complete the image
