Masked the girl and then the dress

Used a combo of levels and brightness/contrast to change the dress from black to white. Tilted the head and used liquify to alter her expression. Moved the foot back.

Used a combo of levels and color adjustment to change the color of the rock. Applied plastic wrap. Used a combo of warp and liquify to wrap the tentacles around the girl.

Used inner shadow on slime and color overlay on dress

Used the colors shown to draw in the hair. Used burn on the dress for shadows

Used dodge/burn on the background. Drew in the shadow people

Used a little more dodge/burn on slime and added render>lighting effects on girl
