Duplicate the image layer. Apply a Black and White Filter/Effect to the bottom layer. Start erasing with the softest brush at 50 % opacity.

The closer you get to the purple flowers, the lower the opacity of the brush.

To erase the green in very blurry areas, I had to erase a bit farther, but then use the soften retouch tool and the smudge tool.
