Started by drawing troll. Used paint to fill in under drawing layer. Using the drawing as a guide, started creating features using dodge and burn.

Used pen tool and paint for the tidy whities. Made drawings of the hand and toes as guides. Continued to dodge and burn.

Created chair using rectangular and elliptical marquee tools. More dodge and burn.

Painted hinges. Rectangular marquee tool for everything else. Dodge and burn. Used distort on table top for perspective.

Pen tool for monitor. Rectangular marquee tool for computer and keyboard. Distort on keyboard. Still more dodge and burn.

Brown paint for wall. Pen tool>stroke for stripes. Used faux finish brush and made dots with two colors of blue. Copied layer, shifted it and merged. Copied that, shifted it and merged. Continued until it was filled in.

Used pen tool and paint to create garbage. Warped the chips and pizza text. Still more dodge and burn.

Added back arm and foot. Created posters with rectangular marquee tool, paint and text. Freehand drawing of WoW warrior, pen tool>stroke for light sabers.

Small, quick strokes of brush to make hair. Reduced opacity and very slight blur to soften.

Gradient tool, paint and blur for shadows, paint and blur for monitor glow and a levels adjustment layer for the troll.
