This was done from a composite of two of my old photos(praying mantis) and one I took(wasp) while working on the drawing. I tried to scan for a brighter image, but my camera has better resolution. No camera raw is available to me at the moment to make lighting adjustments. (5 years and 3205 days ago)

If I may, take the drawing and place it on a window and then take a picture of it, it should come out lighter without loosing the lines.

Thanks for the comments. I never got around to the window trick, but I'm sure it would work(I see you know your way around a camera). I finally got cs3 reinstalled after replacing my hard drive and motherboard so I did some adjusting in camera raw. Cheers
