you should tur the item shes holding a little bit more. its seems like shes holding it in her hand on the first view but when looking better you see that its clearly not in her hand but resting on her puls/arm it would not be possible to hold an item that way. techniclly spoken it would be going right thru her flesh the way shes holding it now.. I love the setting and the color changes you did. Also the idea is very nice . Im holding off my vote for now in case you wish to fix this because it would surely change my vote. Reply »

@ Eladine: I agree partially - the hand's palm is quite flexible, the object could fit there but i admit i should have curved the device a little more.

CMYK: Think of surrealizm and the heart-shaped bird flight pattern really creates that. Realistic? No, but it wouldn't look as cool if it was. Still would like to know what severed tie this relates to because without it, it's hard to rate as a severed tie.

EDIT: It doesn't seem fair but if you can't relate this image to a severed tie, then it's not a severed tie and that will hurt your score. Reply »

well done author! I like this image very much. While I do not know "what" the severed tie is I think the not knowing adds to the emotion of the image. That way I am free to imagine what I wish, thus making me a participant. What is her relationship with the birds about? Does she command them with the music she plays? I added a more solid edge to the bottle's bottom... Anyway i already explained my idea -.- in this contest we have to take the joy of something we like to create a feeling of disappintment in relation to something, so my work represents a sad ending of a story.. what story? well it doesn't matter, what matters here is that the horse is trapped in a bottle in a desert, there's no escape from death. Actually I prefer a story with an effed up ending (i.e. "Seven, Knowing, etc.) but mainly because those ending are NOT expected. Personally I think if you have to explain it, then it makes it hard to fit the theme. A good entry is an obvious entry. Reply »
