I like the almost glowing effect on the skin. Was this purely because of the lighting or done through a contract adjustment, cos it doesnt look like it has affected the rest of the image.
Wonderful job by the way, I'd just love to know how you achieved the look

Thanks guys, in answer to you question it's all of the above lol. I took careful consideration to lighting on this one, the balcony was well lit, but to get the girl to pop more I used a speedlite with a soft box. Then I pulled it into lightroom, used curves to bring up the lights and then used the noise filter (which does an incredible job of smoothing skin). Then some very minimal dodging and it's done

Well, I think I'll sit this one out...LOL....I bow to you author, well done! Reply »
The entry has been discussed between mods and deemed ON THEME! The soap suds (which are made up of numerous bubbles) makes up a large portion of the image. No more comments please regarding the validity of the entry. Reply »

Well Mossy I suppose it might ruin anonymity if i were one who suggested it but since I'm not I think I'm safe. Besides look at the shot its from a different angle so NOT the same pic. Just the same subject. Not to be rude but next time please check your facts before you make comments like this. Reply »
I asked a question, and considering the extreme "similarity," what better way to "check my facts," than asking???
As for "next time" author, you can rest assured that I will just as quickly ask if I have a question, or if an image is as similar to one already published, as that can give someone an unfair advantage, which we wouldn't want, now would we???
This is also an EXCELLENT argument for why Contest Source Photos should be properly credited, since contest entry source photos have to be properly credited...Contest photos posted by Pxleyes are NEVER clearly attributed to the photographer, which is exactly how such questions regarding anonymity can arise... You did more than simply ask a question, giving an exact reference to what you incorrectly assumed was my image took it from a question to an accusation. A good way to "check your facts" would be to actually look at the very link you posted where it CLEARLY states who the Author of the photo is.
I am well aware of every single rule of this site, I checked my portfolio closely before entering this image to make sure I wouldn't be breaking any rules and to make sure that a situation like this one wouldn't occur.
If you had a question a simple red flag would have sufficed you didn't need to make a snide comment based on your ill informed perception. I'm sorry if I'm being snippy but I doubt you would like it very much if you put a lot of work into an image only to have someone cry foul and say you were trying to manipulate the system. Reply »
Unfortunately this does happen almost on a weekly basis. Rule 3.7
Red flag and move on is the correct way,
Authors should not have to defend their entries in the comment section of any entry.
Good luck to you Author, nice shot

Thanks everyone... Fallinghorse, I would have loved to put this in the star trails contest but I took this shot over the weekend, in my area there is far too much light pollution so I took advantage of the darkness when we drove 3 hours north for our little vacation
