Incredibly fun work (SBS is wonderful). You might want to save yourself some headache by using some altered parts of the source (the little round orbs on the top of the hour glass would make little planets quite nicely, just alternating the hue for interest.)
I only say this because some voters get a little cranky when they can't see the source directly. The whole Chopped Beyond Recognition crap. Personally I can see clearly how the source was used (thanks to the SBS)but adding defined items from the source always puts a stamp on some of the cranky. Good luck author Really is a fun image, the grid work reminds me of a screen saver I had in the late 80's

Even if the image is CBR, the author is showing in his SBS what he selected from the image. I do not see in the contest rules something that says that we have to stick to the image and use it, not that CBR's are not allowed. That is what Pxleyes is asking you:

I do like the image and I agree it's a good use of the source. My only critique is the outline of the mushroom, I think it would look better without it IMHO.

I like the Image. I also like CBR´s! Pxleyes somehow dont even if it says "manipulate it in any way you like". May some people think it´s easy to create such an Image. To me this kind of manipulation is more creative than montages since you create something compleetly new out of any source. Shure you can create something like that out of any source, but you didnt. You used this source and this usage created this Image.

Source is unrecognizable. This image could have been made from anything.

Nice idea poorly executed. The problems here are multiple.
First and most importantly, the tilt of the horizon is very distracting. The subject in a photo please the viewers eye and being level is job one.
Secondly is the poor lighting forcing the use of a on-board flash. This has created an unpleasant glare in your central subject while under-exposing the cup.
There are other factors but to be competitive in these competitions, you must exercise basic rules of good photography. Hope this critique helps with future entries, These comments are meant to encourage improvements and heighten skills.

The clouds behind the globe should be slightly distorted, if only around the edges of the globe. They are too uniform at present.
