I like it... but don't like the car sitting on the wing. Just a slight change in angle would have taken care of that. Technically it doesn't get much better than this!
(5 years and 579 days ago)First class shot this, maybe dof could have been more shallow, but that aside like it
(5 years and 580 days ago)This picture is beautiful but too small for my taste (only 880x900 pixels)
(5 years and 595 days ago)I think the hornet was close enough to hit the shutter button, in which case if it did happen, an objection may be raised that the hornet was the author of this image?
(5 years and 598 days ago)What a great close-up well scary
(5 years and 601 days ago)Congrats for winning
(5 years and 619 days ago)Congratulations...wonderful!
(5 years and 619 days ago)Congratulations on 1st place
(5 years and 619 days ago)Congrats, well done
(5 years and 619 days ago)How did you do to publish an image larger than 5000 pixels wide while the limit is 3500? Did you pay bribes?
(5 years and 620 days ago)Good capture...but there are cloning marks where you obviously cloned out a wire. I suggest you use a softer brush with the cloning tool or use the content aware tool to get rid of distracting objects.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Ha, lucky parrot, what an outfit he must be wearing. A very lovely and eye catching full frame photograph showing off the variations of colour and their gradients. The detail has been well caught by your dof, the colours lively but not overcooked and that would have been so tempting to do (and ruin the image ) . It is an honest respectable photograph.
(5 years and 643 days ago)Congrats on this win.
(5 years and 648 days ago)I have a premonition you will do well in this contest and as you already know....I am the site psychic.
(5 years and 651 days ago)Top of the shelf , nice one joe.
(5 years and 651 days ago)You need to clean your sensor of dust. Love the shot it gives such a great story.
(5 years and 656 days ago)Yep. No use to soldier on.
(5 years and 679 days ago)Bahhhh me thinkest thou art splitting the proverbial hairs.
(5 years and 679 days ago)If you remove the crew of a warship, there is no passenger and no cargo, that's not really what I call a transport ship!
(5 years and 679 days ago)Transports people, and YAWZAAAAA a great shot. Love the sepia tones.
(5 years and 680 days ago)I am really troubled that there is no sink or basin to catch the water. This is a nicely staged image and your photographic skills bring it to life. Please check the level as there may be a tilt to the right. Love the detail in the milk bottles that still have a hint of what they contained on them. This image speaks of a simpler time, a more gentle time. Nice honey hues give added warmth to the warmth of the sun rays coming through your window.
(5 years and 681 days ago)I really am drawn to the post processing of this photograph. I am a sucker for grunge and that texture comes through. Do make sure your photograph is level, I think it is, but just make sure it isn't leaning to the left. Sharp, clear, and of historical value (don't laugh)....in 100 years I can hear someone saying "wow look what they wore." I also think this image would look great in monochrome.
(5 years and 682 days ago)I wonder if these mate for life? Do you know? Canada Geese do. This group of gorgeous guys seem to be posing for you and their eyes have been caught in the stare. Good marginal space all around, sharp, well contrasted, natural colouring. The kind of image that makes one pause and slows the beating of one's heart. Nice nice nice
(5 years and 682 days ago)A warship is not really related to transport...
(5 years and 685 days ago)would it be possible to upload a good version of this photo.
(5 years and 686 days ago)I love the intense look on this child's face. He takes his play seriously. I wonder what he will grow up to be. This is a good shot of a dirty little boy enjoying himself although does not seem too happy with your intrusion. Sharp and good focal point with enough photographic information included to give the viewer a pleasant sotry.

(5 years and 732 days ago)Ha, I see the mods made your replace your image due to anonymity issue. I just recently learned from them what that was all about. You used your antiquing filter on this and it is so appropriate because it takes us into another time.
