I'm sorry that my comment come too late, but the side of the house standing opposite of the moon should be much darker...

I wonder why no one notice another entries who use less of source image - for example those entries who could be constructed from any other source image (the pieces of source are used only for their texture or color...) I like this entry, at least you could recognise a good piece of source. Good job!

perfectly on theme, but you should adjust some details: the pop up shadows are too big - and creates a flying effect to pop-up. then you have to pay more attention on the tree masking on the upper side. good luck!

the idea is great, but I find disturbing the liquify effect - you should find another way to curve that area. And you missed masking an area around the tongue - you have a black spot just above the tongue. I'll keep my vote until you'll fix that small things
