It's interesting how we can have opposite reactions to a shot. Although I appreciate what you were trying to accomplish, I had the same kind of feeling as when we get a power line in a picture. That said, the detail on the rope is on the money.

The colors in the background really make the focal area more pronounced. An unexpected shot made most effective.

Nice to see you in something other than a small icon! I love the effect of the blinds and know how difficult it is to make sure that eyes are not in the shadows.

The story here for me is the choice of languages for the different messages. I understand that there may be things you wanted to exclude, explaining the very tight cropping, but I could have used a little more breathing space.

You really got me thinking on this one. I'm trying to decide whether or not the blue sky takes away from your excellent coloration of the ocean. If the sky were all gray,the horizon might be overly sharp. I'll like to see what would happen if you had the sky gray with the exception of the marine layer, leaving that in a subdued blue. Any picture that makes me think that long is a success!

What strikes me the most is the white splotches under foot. That's a nice attention to detail.

She may be blue now, but with all that Cetaphil, her complexion will be fabulous! The white lettering makes a great contrast to the blue hoodie.

I usually think of this technique as highlighting something within the picture. You have taken this to an unexpected level by essentially creating a frame using the color. Most effective!

What a hysterical photo! The white of the rabbit stands out in stark contract to the colorful dress. I'd like to see a little more definition of the rabbit...one of the disadvantages of a shot that is straight on. That said, I admire that you stopped her to ask for the picture.

The hands are great and would make a great focal point. I'm just not a fan of crotch shots.

My first reaction was wondering what this would have looked like in color. You capture the flurry of activity well but I keep getting distracted by the foliage. Perhaps cropping the top a bit?

The fact that she is alone in the picture really eliminates any distractions. My first thought was that someone would come up to her and say "this is a store, not a library."

I like the concept of the receding tree line. My only suggestion is that bottom of the greenery not catch the bride at eye level. Taken either a little higher or lower would have created better focus for me on their faces.
