(5 years and 3628 days ago)your overlapping step on the left, it drops down, on top, making the motion from top left to bottom right (to the middle) un convincing and kills the illusion, unlike the crossing section on the right which looks good. not sure if that makes sense, but if it makes it easier, try spotting the difference between the two overlapping step sequences and fix the bit on the left so it looks more like the bit on the right.
