author.. desaturate the WHOLE piece again and color in ONE aspect of the piece.. I think you chose the flower but there is still color on the girl's back.. I suggest for a great effect to color in only the Girl's flesh with some very fantastic color (If you color in the whole flower it kinda misses the point of the contest because all the shading will cause layers of color) but it is up to you... just make sure the colored area POPS .. good luck

the blur on the pool table in high res is very heavy compared to the fantastic resolution of the floor and the walls (the poolballs are very blurry) But the overall image is FANTASTIC) though I think alot of the players are going to be hitting there cue sticks against the wall trying to make shots.. hehehe.. but the overall concept is quite beautiful.. I'd hang this in a game/pool room in a nanoscecond...good luck author!!!!

if you use PERSPECTIVE on the base pattern.. you could make it look more flat (then shadow according to the angle) just put the layer with the pattern into perspective and then pull it wide on the bottom it will help it look like the ground is flat (the sbs is wonderful)

While I can see what elficho means.. after reading your SBS this would make a WONDER tutorial on how the mask out giant objects.. You'd just have to add more steps and longer descriptions..after reading the SBS I can see the work you put into this very clearly and I commend you (like a said, this would make a great TUT for peeps wanting to know how to remove large detailed objects.. ) GOOD LUCK

I can see what you were trying to achieve in your SBS author... just a suggestion.. if you took some of the back ground off the source and actually made little barnacle tentacles (reference here)
