Good idea, needs more highlights & shadows...
watch your edges... also flamingo seems washed out and flat compared with the background. Work with curves/levels and maybe some burning to make it feel more a part of the image. Good luck!
It's very nice. i like this picture but it's too gray. Try using some dodge and burn on it
