I had planned to do more work, but Photoshop refused to save 'can not save due to program error'
could only save to WEB.
researching this in google it seem to be a common problem, happy to say it's the first time I have come across it. (5 years and 2293 days ago)

yes. PS also screwed up my files when selecting Save As, with no warning, but images reopened with big chunks missing.
