used the drool from the image, changed the blending mode to softlight, copied it filled it with white color and changed blend mode to color and lowered opacity and fill. And added some plastic wrap filter (5 years and 2927 days ago)

Now the shadows are opposite the light source. Light is from the right, shadows should be on the left.

. If you want to work on it a tiny bit more you could look at where the cheek hits the thumb and make the lighting more similar. Good luck.
