Sorry it's another orange image, but I started this 3 days ago, I just finished and don't want to change it.
"In the Japanese religion of Shinto, trees were marked with sacred paper symbolizing lightning bolts, as trees were thought to be sacred. After they died, ancestors and animals were often portrayed as branches on the tree." This is just my interpretation of this story. With the little girl representing new life, and the rock face being the guardian of the tree. (5 years and 3117 days ago)

Edit: just checked out the high res. Love your stone texture on the face and the realistic eye! The only thing I have reservation with is I think the girl's shadow is straight down & should be the same general angle as the tree's shadow.
Edit II: The little girl's shadow looks great now.
Pretty good feel and idea. The tree has a weird circle cut in it? The girl is floating a bit and her shadow is a bit to dark. Good luck!
