i can see that you had to flip parts of the wood. If you want to get the right effect of the wood you should overlap the too pieces and then use a soft brush to erase the edge so it blends in more . Nice work though

i think the background is ok
I think your background is fine as well but I can see where jaescoe21 was comming from. Probably more of a personal opinion he has but he did have a good point.
i could change the background yes.

EDIT: I changed the background, used the same effect but tried to copy another part of the background to end with a more anonymous copy/paste effect
