Contest goal:

Create a scene with 1 or more mermaids. There are source images of mermaids with tails out there, but for this contest they are not allowed. Create your own mermaids, with its own unique tail. You can use of course textures or fish tails if you want. Be creative and have fun.

Contest Moderator: Sorry sharkmermaid you can't use the same entry in another contest at any time unless it was removed and can be entered in the Mixed Media Contest. The drawing you speak of is a traditional drawing and wouldn't qualify as a photoshop image anyway. A pencil sketch is okay as a basis for an entry in a Photoshop Contest but the final image must be created with a graphics program. ( 5 years and 2633 days ago )

Contest Moderator: @ macarhign you can use your own pencil sketch as a basis for your entry but it must be your own sketch and not someone elses's work and the final entry must be all computer work and not use the scanned in hand drawn sketch. ( 5 years and 2632 days ago )

detractor: you mod cant see the diferences between images. I just edited a whole image and it was delete bcus it say it was the same. ( 5 years and 2625 days ago )

I did this with a different model but the source needed permission to be used. The DA artist never got back to me. Due to the time crunch I had to improvise and created using my own model image. I also used my bloody tear stock and hair stock. The image was inspired by the darker classic versions of Rapunzel and the Little Mermaid. Not all fairy tales have a happy ending after all.
