the work in this is magnificent............there are some differences in sharpness, from coat to another for instance, but the rebuild is superb.

Yes the coat cannot be sharpened any more as it comes from a postage stamp sized photo, and the original torn photo is a 6x4 inch photo. Therefore the lines that go to make up its shape are way more difused and spread out, there is no pushing them together and making them crips lines as in the mans jacket. This is the limitation of any restoration when you use photos of different sizes.

It's very good, but somehow I think you missed the chin position and shape.... I dunno, it just looks somehow 'fatter' than I suspect from such thin face and hands. I'd move it a little bit up, gl!

Nah, the shoulder should be like that because almost all women coats have the fake shoulder implants Oh, and I spotted something else - his hair has no colour. I know he's supposed to have black hair, but natural black hear appears brown when highlighted. Like this it looks like he's old. Lol, sorry, maybe we're to nitpicky... High votes from me anyway!

Actually his hair is coloured a slight warm hue, but you have got to look closely to spot it! Try laying one on top of the other and switching layer views, you'll see it then!

Also has have a tip for you. Cutting or masking the selection should be based on the sharpness of the image. By this I mean how sharp or how much in focus the image is. For example if you blow up an image to 200-300% and see how far the pixels merge or overlap between to objects. It may be in a high resolution image this is only 1 pixel but in a lower resolution or scan of an old photograph with large grain, it may be 3 or 4. It is this “focus” that your image selection should be based on.

You did a great job. I did see that you cut out part of her neck. If you zoom in on the neck you can see the collar bone line is missing from your final image.

yes, I see this, I missed it first time. You have mistaken shadow for body line!!...in the original, it is not easy to see, so i think you could be excused..........

FYI: If your concerned about comments and who you should take advice from, I'd stick with someone who well.. has a higher level, since they probably know what they are talking about. All opinions can be good but when it comes down to it, only yours really matters 2nd opinions are good too.

wow..........skin tones are great, wall colors are superb...........the front wheel of the bike seems to be off the ground, and also a little sharper than the rest of the bike, but this is good, real good...

Pink sky looks strange, all else is well done...

I painted the sky with a blue colour, but I didn't want it too bright because I wanted the dress to stand out.

this is superb work, although I am confused as to why the bag chain is in gold on the b/w image...........it is almost too good!

Actually Wlado, there was alot of sharpening and restoration work involved....look at the steps. The original is very dark and you cant see the damage....after i lightened it and changed the tone, you can see the pic was badly scratched, pitted and damaged.

OK, calm down. =) TBH, I don't agree with you, the image was very sharp, and it was scratched and damaged in non-significant parts around the girl. I wouldn't call that badly scratched, but you did do a good work. gl! =)

Good color, good contrast, good restoration. Just a wee bit pixelated in high res (at least there was a high res to choose from) but overall this is one of the better entries I've seen and see you placing. Good luck

The final image is blurry and it's not much of a high res... Try messing with sharpen and high pass filter. =) Also, add some shadow to the background. =)

I think you did a great job on restoring the hair and removing the hands. It seems a bit grainy in the "slightly" higher resolution (it's not very high) and being too blurry is probably more opinon than anything. GL!
