Dusk to Dawn when the surf's up the Surfers show up. This particular surfer would surf the sweet spot on the beach till the current swept him away from the break, he would then get out and run down the beach back to the break. When I asked him why he said running down the beach was easier than swimming against the current.

Is this yellow lab excited to be at the beach or what?

This photo was taken at the Dog beach in Santa Cruz. I was amazed to see this yellow lab surfing. Most dogs do it on accident but this dog was doing it on purpose.After frolicking in the waves he swam out and hung out with the surfers.

A labs water exit means everybody gets wet. Keeping a Labrador Retriever out of the water is like keeping kids away from candy.

The violence of the surf this day was astonishing. Ano Nuevo is one of my favorite places to shoot.
