It is a beautiful shot. The fog in the background really makes the foreground pop.

Love the mood and atmosphere of this image. It reminds me of "home". Well composed and cropped. Good entry with broad gray tonality which makes your image sparkle.

From the marks in the snow, it looks well used.

A pretty scene. The composition has been thought through. Have you tried a square format with dead center comoposition? (just for fun)

author says:

Nope,might look at it though

I like this photo for so many reasons. First of all your snow is white and the naturalness of setting draws me into it. You have composed it nicely by inclusion of bushes on the side and the eye is taken into it's depth. How absolutely lovely that there is a duck there in the distance...that, for me was the icing on this well baked cake! Technical elements all well handled, sharp, contrasted, exposure all A+ this one ought to do well in this contest.

I like this one for it has a feel of cold, blue...and death! Your contrast is strong, you do have some dust spots in the sky (the bane of all photographers). The photo is sharp, a considered composition is evident and overall a pleasant view, thank you. I wonder if a bit more exposure would brighten this and show the snow as white versus blue?

author says:

thanks olga, wanted this to look cold
