The amount of rain puddled on the wood kinda obscures the details, but this is an awesome piece of wood. It comes from a small grove of sassafras trees that appear to have suffered from a disease, causing them to become filled with knots and lumps. (5 years and 2659 days ago)

It seems a bit too "target centered," with the dark values over dominating the image. Cropping off about half of the dark shape on the left, and a bit off the bottom would give this a lot more visual movement, and make the dark tree on the right in the background more dynamic.
