We live in a very rural area and our son attended a very small school. He actually had to travel about 40 miles a day to practice with another school because we didn't have a swim team. He was essentially our high school's one man team. At the "sectionals" meet, where approx. 30 schools competed (some with more students than our whole town) he carved almost two seconds from his time and was the only student from a small school to make it to the medals stand (he's the one in 6th place).
