It is way too blurry and noisy to be considered a good photo but I have always felt there was something in this picture that spoke to me. (5 years and 3054 days ago)

Yes, the light 'from above' really makes this photo special. Was getting a shot with this light through patience or good luck?
Mostly luck and paying attention. I was a long way from the statue when I spotted the light. If I could have gotten closer before losing it I would have. I prefer not to use my telephoto as I have a problem with camera shake (my hands are not very steady and it gets really bad at full zoom).
But it was shoot it then or miss it. 
I agree with what you say about speaking to you. THe lighting on the faces is totally amazing!!
