Butterfly resting on pine needles (5 years and 817 days ago)

Butterflies delight us carbon based bi-peds and torment us photographers. Pretty to look at and so difficult to get sharp. Your butterfly comes across as quite soft through all the planes of the image. I do not think this is camera shake but rather the focus may have been off. Some photographers want their images to appear soft at times and I'm wondering if that is what you were gunning for? I do think the composition and crop are very well done showing the environs of this pretty "flying flower" as we sometimes refer to the butterfly.

This is one of my first time taking photos of water droplets, and I've never really seen anything that looks like this. I've asked some of my physic major friends why the splash looks like that, and the only conclusion we came up with was that that part of the splash was moving faster than the camera could capture. Seeing as I was shooting with a shutter speed of 1/2000, I was kinda shocked. (5 years and 2590 days ago)
