In the mid-1960's there was a sit-com named "My Mother the Car" where a man's (Jerry Van Dyke - Dick's brother) dead mother came back as a car to keep an eye on him. She spoke to him through the radio and he was the only one who could hear it. It ranks on many lists as the worst TV show of all time, and if it's not #1 it's always in the top few.
