This was taken off an island I was fishing from. At the tip of the island, there were about 75 raucous, noisy seagulls. This falcon swooped in, and this is the one that didn't make it. Quite the crowd she's gathered! Great color, focus and lighting. Nice job!
She certainly is the crowd pleaser Trivia fact: did you know that you can tell the males and females of these ducks (the Khakhi Campbells with the green heads) by their tail feather. The ones that have a 'curl' on his tail feathers is a male Slightly off track there but I couldn't help myself, they are a lovely duck.

The Pukeko, or New Zealand Swamp Hen is a member of the rail family, and is similar to other species found all over the world.
