Well seen and nicely caught. Technical elements handled well in exposure (not an easy feat with all that white), contrast. It is an intersting image and my eyes went to the "do not enter" chain link sign, this is a place for "haves" and "have nots". Very nice photograph.

This is my 8 year old niece boogie boarding at Golden Sands Beach in Wabasso,Florida. She just wiped out and it getting right back in the water to catch another wave. (5 years and 1294 days ago)
Photo would be greatly improved by cropping closer and straightening the horizon.
Thanks for the corrective criticism but I usually don't crop and adjust my photos. I will give it a try next time. Again, thanks for the tip.
My eye is also distracted by the crooked ocean horizon instead of the subject.

Oh no, of course not! Hopefully you will take the comments as helpful suggestions and not as mean criticism. The intention here is to encourage photography, not to discourage it. The great learning tool of this site is the ability to see where your entry scores after all of the votes are in. This gives you an idea of the quality of your photo (judged by the peer group and not by the so-called "experts"
and to learn from those photos that place higher. I have learned a lot by challenging myself to improve. Please don't take offense. Not intended. I did not know that it was your first entry. Welcome.

What kind of lense did you use ? Where you far from him ? Nice bird catch !
Thanks for your comment. I was using a 200mm prime that day. I don't know exactly, but he was probably about 20 to 25 feet away.
