I knew this contest would have a sailboat and I found your upload. Personally I feel this would be a much much much stronger image had you placed the boat to the side and given it much room to "fly" into, but that is your artistic prerogative and I bow to it. That bird's blur adds some exciting movement to your image.
Thank you for your insight! I understand your point completely and agree it would make an entirely different image. Although I was reluctant to center the sailboat in the picture (boring), what I was aiming for was to focus on the movement of the clouds and passing cormorant and to show the sailboat as uncharacteristically still. My aim may have been a little off!
