Great find. I think this would look great if you were able to take the shot without the grass/trees in the shot - going for the minimalist style.
Ray, I understand what you mean, but I like the shot this way for the sense of depth.

Very cool shot. I think I might crop a bit off the top and the right. This would decenter the roots more, keep the grass at the bottom, but eliminate the tree at the right.
Kyricom, thanks for the suggestion. I played around with a few crops, and it does look better. Dunno why I was so attached to leaving the OOF branch in there!
