I agree about the background. If you can re-shoot, try a backdrop of some sort with a neutral color.
the background here is better, but the composure of the face and the lighting on it, was better in the last one!!............imo.
Oh come on Ade :0), I know the other one is closer I thought this would be much much better!!!

flash got a bit too harsh in this enty and washed out much of the color, if you're able in the future, try bouncing the flash off the ceiling or another surface to diffuse the light a bit more and keep the color and tone
