When we bought our block of land six years ago it had a pond but it was completely surrounded by native bush and stock fenced. We removed some of the bush and fencing on one side and opened it up so we could access it from our lawn and to provide a landing and resting area for ducks. My husband built a deck out over the pond and a jetty along with stone walled gardens and pillars.This is the view from one end of the pond taken just on sunset. (5 years and 3889 days ago)

I with that weed or plant on the right wasn't there. Blocks out some of the view.
It's not a weed, it's a native flax , it's there for a purpose and along with the rest of the flora around the pond it is an integral part of the view.

It just that, it says in your description that "y husband built a deck out over the pond and a jetty along with stone walled gardens and pillars" adn I can barely see any of them. Was that it because I can barely see it on the right, far from the theme focus. I see a fence and a dock and what looks like boxes and the high res is no different from what I'm looking at now. If you grew the native flax or filed the lake that would be different.
