It's probably not a bad idea because it gives a lot of newer people a chance to compete with their own rank. Any experienced photographer just discovering this site will have a real advantage. UncleJimmy: Actually jawshoewhah, I quite enjoy the fact that they started the leveled contest for photo like the photoshoppers have, I think it's a great idea, a bit less overwhelming for the newer users to get into competition and be able to get a good chance at placing. Thanks itsmymoment, I did consider cropping this but didn't want to lose so much in the way of quality/pixels. Should have shot it as portrait but I will know better next time

Author...usually if I'm conflicted on wich way to shoot...I try to get one or two quick shots in BOTH landscape and portrait, then decide later when i put them on screen which is better, just a hint for future reference...
