Scary Nature - Photography Contest [16 entries]

Damn nature, you're scary! Nature can be beautiful, but is sometimes a feared force. If you ever captured a spectacular phenomenon of nature, such as: a tsunami, a tornado in action, a volcano erupting, a building falling at an earthquake, a massive lightning, etc., then this is the contest for you!

It is NOT allowed to enter a picture which shows the after effects of a natural disaster, like floods or burnt down houses, for example... Your photo has to show a spectacular natural phenomenon in actions.

Not sure why I got that amazing color, because I took other images with the same settings and those are not even close to this one. (2 years and 163 days ago)

I got quite a few pictures with lightning this night but, darn it, they all refused to be in the middle of the frame. This is about the closes I have and three in one. About 20 miles north we had a tornado touchdown that night.

As a side note: With the bolt to the left I practically wet my pants and tripped. (2 years and 163 days ago)
