Incense:
The first of incense symbolizes prayer, which ascends to the throne of God.
Candles:
It symbolizes the purity of our soul, because it's made of pure beeswax.
Also, the plasticity of our soul, because the more easily we can draw anything.
Even the grace, because the wax from the flowers smell.
Moreover symbol of deification, which should arrive because the wax mixed with fire and feeds.
And the light of Christ also shows, as well as burns and illuminates the darkness.
