Now I decided to do something different that I haven't seen before on this site. Hopefully some of you might have some fun with this if you try it.

The clock is a fractal created in Apophysis.

To make the magic clock open Apophysis program.
Use the triangles and change numbers in the boxes to make and transform the clock parts.

A tutorial is available for those who want to try it.

All the info for downloading the free software and script is on the video.

step 5 of 7

I made quite a few clocks in the Apophysis program but these two are the ones I ended up using. They were rendered as png files so there is no problem trying to get rid of colored backgrounds. I only made them into jpegs on a black background for sbs purposes.

If you are rendering your own, just be patient, the rendering took almost an hour for each clock on my computer. I did other things while waiting for it to render.

step 6 of 7

I lightened the clocks and changed them to a more creamy tone to fit the scene and so they would show up better against the dark clouds. They were duplicated a few times and blend modes of screen and soft light were used.
I added some outer glow to the rocks.

step 7 of 7

Added some magic dust using brushes
Added some light on her face.
Painted some new lines going from the rocks to the center of the large clock. Added inner and outer glow to them.
Played around with colors, blend modes and lighting effects to get a nice magical greenish-yellow tint to the end result.

Now you know what happens at night when you are asleep and how the time for the next day is magically created. ;-)
