Cut texture from the brush handle, but this was no enough so I've added some more wood texture

Painted the face with mixer brush tool, added the log in the background with twirl filters

Added the wood to the face with linear burn layer style, clipping mask, erased the place of the eyes and even painted some white over the white parts on a new filter

Cut many different stripes in the brush bristles, adjusted with warp mode, radial blur, shadows...
