A Work in Progress: Cash rain

step 1 of 6

The cloud background was made using two of the storm cloud pics from the pack in source 1. It has 4 layers which are transformed, warped and rotated to give a diagonal light source from the right side.

The tunnel from source 2 was added on screen mode. The man from provided source was cut out and flipped horizontally. More clouds were added over his legs. Light rays were painted over the tunnel.

This is how I made the light rays. I paint a star shape, filter it with 100 pixel radial blur, duplicate the blurred layer and rotate it to thicken the light rays.

Coins in hand was cut out and blended into cloud layers with overlay, multiply and 50% normal modes masking out various parts.

step 5 of 6

Cash was cut out from umbrella. Layer was duplicated three times. One was placed behind the man and two layers were positioned over the man. Layer style has a drop shadow on each cash layer.
Extra coins were cut out from source 5 and arranged through the cash.

Sunset from source 3 was blurred, rotated and blended on soft light mode to add more of a golden color to the scene.
The hand of fate is showering the man in gold after all. ;-)

Lastly I did some final adjustments on hue, saturation and contrast.
