Cut source from background, desaturate. Add texture layer with clipping mask. Set layer to overlay.

Add new background, darken top right corner, clone out some unwanted bright spots. Add some bullet holes to the letters.

Overlay rust texture on letters. Overlay wooden stump behind letters on 50% opacity. The wood layer was blurred with a radial blur on 100%.

To create the explosion, overlay spark layers which were blended with "blend if".
