Played with levels on the layer to enhance the nostrils to look like eyes and a mouth. I also liquified and blurred the lip/chin area.

I used the fluffy fur under the meerkat's neck for the lovely blond hairstyle. Well, for a gargoyle that is that old and messed up, here hair held pretty good.
