step 2 of 5

Hedge added to background. reshaped a little and layer mask to get close to leaves. And also layer masked over the hedge so the swing posts were in front of the hedge and not covered.

*The old timey photo of the little girl had hedges in the background so I found some hedges that looked similar and was able to line it all up really nice.*

step 3 of 5

Duplicated swing chains over the hedge, then erased around them so the chains were over the hedge and not under. Got into the little holes in the chain to make them show hedge leaves through each link.

step 4 of 5

Lots of adjusting and different layers with different setting to turn this night time photo of hand/phone into a daytime looking image. Cut out and cut out center of phone.
Flipped and rotated the image, clone stamped to fill out wrist and put the old timey photo into the center of phone.
Then I just had to line up the girl on the swing with the background hedges.

The last thing I did was cut out the modern girl and add her to the image. I painted her a shadow going in the right direction.

step 5 of 5

This is a reverse of the color scheme where the modern is in sepia and the old is in color. Made this step based on a comment by pixelkid, just for fun and to see what it might look like.
