I took the original photo. It is my son in a serious debate with his dad.
I cut his face from the background and rotated the canvas 90 degrees.
Made a new layer and added a black and white gradient.
Placed the cut out face on a layer above the gradient.
Used masks, warp, liquify and overlay to fit the brain to the head and blend it into the skull.
Added a layer with some red and yellow colors blended on color burn mode to give a glowing fiery effect to the brain.
Overlayed some lightning to give it energy and spark.
Overlayed storm clouds.
Adjusted curves, saturation, colours to blend it all together.
