Showing the wireframe of the body's side, a shape was drawn and gradient added. The tubular thing added below looked too flat, so I deleted it. The vent above the stripe worked, using a blend mode.

Adjusting the craft's angle as well as the IBL (image-based light, which is the background with the mineshaft tower, used just for this purpose) for reflections.
