This is the yarn source, Thanks to Wendy Berry from Flickr. I flipped it horizontally added a shadow. Then a new color dodge layer and painted the highlights to match the direction of the squirrel source picture.

This is a rough resize and mask of the tiger head.

The tiger head also had a different light source than the squirrel source. So I used many layers to shade and highlight the tiger to match the squirrel. I also used some of the texture of the squirrel fur on top of the tiger for a better blend.

This is a combination of several layers that was painted, in multiply, screen and normal mode to get the fur striped and to add extra hair.

The tiger paw was made with the squirrel paw. It was enlarged warped and rotated to be larger. The highlights and shadows had to be adjusted with extra layers.

This is a combination with all of the layers enabled without the final touches and color changes.
