A Work in Progress: Sun Mandala

Make by circle

Make first arc before 23 transforms at 15 degrees rotation.

Make sure side and bottom lined up with ruler guides.

In transform window use Shift-Cntrl-Alt-T procedure 23 times.

Decals (Flower)- Make new layer place a 1 pixel black point in circle center with paintbrush. Then place flower (made from standard PS shape) in wedge where desired. Two additional inner circles were added.

First flower placed. Follow same procedure to duplicate with transform rotation 23 times as before. You can add more than one object here as long as they are to appear in the same wedge. Also I found out later it would have been much easier to color the flower before the 23 duplications to avoid having to color it by hand later.

Add some line and curve segments to a wedge. Once done, use same procedure as for decals.

For a pattern, I made a new layer from one segment of a wedge, then used layer styles to add a pattern. In this case purple daisies, which I later decided to replace with a star field. I include the pic here in to show how it was done.

Colored in some segments and colored outside flowers. I should have colored flowers before duplications.

Final picture and some explanatory notes. I later changed the purple daisies to a star field. Added a background color to try and enhance the subject.
