First 7 steps repeated for all characters. Cut out character then copy left arm.

Place arm at approx 35 degree angle.

Puppet warp left arm to body.

Touch up left arm.

Cut hand from source pic and get ready to fit to arm.

Place hand on left arm then hue and saturate to desired color.

Remove right arm then replace with duped copy of left arm and hand flipped horizontally.

Crop out earth from source pic. Place above black layer.

Add starfield using noise/levels/threshold method. Also color a starfield a little using a color gradient on layer above using multiply blend.

Place subjects symetrically around earth. Added bluish glow to them using color dodge on legos underneath a darkish blue layer.
