step 6 of 8

Veteran saluting is placed at bottom left after cloning out unwanted part of image (a tent post and part of canvas was cloned out) Statue of Liberty is placed in bottom right corner. The bell is placed at top near center, and top of bell is completed by cloning shape to match the other bell. Then the bell is duplicated four times. Each image is slightly rotated and opacity reduced to give the idea that the bell is ringing. Image at back is reduced to 35%, next one to 40%, next one to 45%, etc.

A single tombstone w small flag is chopped out, then it is duplicated and each duplication is scaled to smaller size. When one row is established, it is merged and duplicated, then distort and skew tools are used to give more perspective to rows of stones.

step 8 of 8

The saluting veteran has been enlarged somewhat here, and burn tool has been used to give shadows to outer edges of image. I must add that text was also added as bell was being completed.
