As always I start with a pencil outline. I decided to start with the sky and work down. Lots of blending was needed to make those gorgeous clouds!! I used soft pastel for the majority of this picture

Starting to rough in the girl

Finishing more of the girl. At this point I decided to really emphasize the blood on her dress. I feel it's a key element. Unfortunately I don't have any bright red pastels so I used nail polish--seriously!! Try it, works very well and looks great when dry.

I added the black pool and the skull. Next is the background and fence. Then I'm done!!
